CancerCare Manitoba is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care services. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Oncology Nurse II to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing holistic cancer care to patients in the ambulatory setting. This includes assessment, intervention, treatment administration, coordination of care, and follow-up. The Oncology Nurse will participate in patient/family education, make pertinent nursing assessments, collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team, and provide appropriate interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the ambulatory setting
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Participate in patient/family education and provide support
  • Make pertinent nursing assessments and provide appropriate interventions
  • Administer treatments and medications as prescribed
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses and the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)
  • Proficient with computers and software applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Nursing degree
  • Three (3) years' experience in medical/surgical or ambulatory care
  • Knowledge and experience with oncology
  • Ability to speak French
