CancerCare Manitoba is a leading agency in cancer control and treatment of blood disorders. We are seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse II to join our team in Winnipeg.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide holistic cancer care to patients in the ambulatory setting, including assessment, intervention, treatment administration, and coordination of care. The Oncology Nurse will participate in patient/family education, make pertinent nursing assessments, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide cancer care to patients in the ambulatory setting
  • Participate in patient/family education and make pertinent nursing assessments
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team
  • Administer treatments and coordinate care
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses
  • Proficient with computers and software programs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Three (3) years' experience in medical/surgical or ambulatory care
  • Knowledge and experience with oncology
