Culinary Support Position at Nova Scotia Health Authority

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Culinary Support Staff. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of meals for patients, clients, and customers in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of room service menu items, following strict recipe guidelines and maintaining high food quality standards.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to ensure seamless food service operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Recognized Food Safety and Sanitation Course (or willingness to obtain within six months)
  • One year of related experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Organization and prioritization skills
  • Physical capability for heavy lifting and standing for long periods
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Position Details:
  • Casual Relief Positions
  • Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation:

$23.99 Hourly
