Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook food to order, adhering to recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Measure and portion ingredients accurately, ensuring consistency and quality in food preparation.
- Follow safe food handling procedures, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and meet customer demands.
- Monitor and control food costs, adhering to budgetary guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
We are looking for a motivated and organized individual with a passion for food preparation and customer service. To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Grade 12 or equivalent education.
- Recognized Food Safety and Sanitation Course or willingness to obtain within six months.
- One year of related experience in a kitchen environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical capability to perform duties of the position, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
This is a casual relief position, with shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. You must be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation and IncentivesThe successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $21.59 - $23.99, depending on experience.
