About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health team is seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to provide expert nutrition advice and support to patients, families, and communities. As a key member of the inter-professional team, you will contribute to client care through collaboration with healthcare providers, sharing nutrition expertise, and ensuring quality and continuity of care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership in team efforts to support the nutritional health of patients, clients, and communities through health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, support, and rehabilitation. This role requires a strong understanding of evidence-informed practice and the ability to employ an evidence-informed approach to practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nutrition advice and support to patients, families, and communities
  • Contribute to client care through collaboration with healthcare providers
  • Share nutrition expertise and ensure quality and continuity of care
  • Provide leadership in team efforts to support the nutritional health of patients, clients, and communities
  • Employ an evidence-informed approach to practice

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Dietitian who possesses a strong background in nutrition and dietetics. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with a major concentration in Foods and Nutrition, a Dietetic Internship Program, and current registration with the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association. A minimum of one year of working experience as a dietitian is preferred, and inpatient clinical nutrition experience is an asset.
