Corporate Accounting Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial regulations and be able to monitor policies and procedures for assigned departments, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Complying with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and maintaining compliance.
- Developing staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
- Overseeing and supporting timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all operational management accounts.
- Maintaining efficient General Ledger accounting and Procure-to-Pay systems.
- Providing financial perspective and advice to management team.
- Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Preparing special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Please note that you must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this opportunity.
