Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team at the Emergency department in Ridge Meadows Hospital. As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will work under the direction of a professional nurse and in cooperation with the interprofessional care team to implement treatment plans and assist in monitoring patient progress.
Responsibilities
- Carry out designated components of a rehabilitative treatment plan under the direction of a physiotherapist or occupational therapist.
- Assist in monitoring patient progress through observation and reporting to appropriate team members.
- Provide input into the planning, implementation, modification, and evaluation of the treatment plan.
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
