Job Overview

Thompson Rivers University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Director to lead the development of micro-credentials. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the implementation of the project, ensuring its successful completion within the allocated budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Lead a team of assessors and stakeholders to select participating micro-credentials and ensure their quality.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external parties, including TRU and external assessors and committees.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition, to develop an online training program for micro-credential assessors.
  • Monitor progress, conduct evaluation surveys, and prepare reports and presentations as required.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in academic environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
