Job Title: Cannabis Retail Leadership Opportunity

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our cannabis retail team at Canna Cabana. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner, modeling exemplary conduct to other staff members.
  • Staff Management: Supervise all staff in the establishment, coordinate work to ensure productive operations at all hours, and hold staff accountable for cash box deficits.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate stock through efficient inventory management, take inventory as scheduled, and provide inventory reports.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Increase sales, expand markets, and promote business to meet given goals within provided guidelines.
  • Financial Management: Verify invoices against packaging slips, track all expenditures, make bank deposits daily, and reconcile bank statements.
  • Operations: Ensure that merchandise is always presented neatly, items are priced correctly, and health, safety, and security regulations are adhered to.

Requirements:

  • Certifications: Valid QCW/Sell Safe certification is mandatory to work in a Cannabis store in Alberta.
  • Education: Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 year work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment.
  • Skills: Proven excellent customer service skills, management experience preferred, excellent time management and prioritizing skills, demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff, skills to monitor and assess staff performance, basic office administration skills, high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite, highly effective teamwork skills, able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, strong customer service and troubleshooting skills, politically and culturally sensitive, able to plan and organize work effectively and ensure its completion, well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills, ability to learn and adapt to sales software quickly.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.
