**Job Summary**
A Diagnostic Sonographer at Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation is a vital member of our multi-disciplinary healthcare team. As a Registered Ultrasound Technologist, you will coordinate and perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including pediatric and high-risk obstetric cases.
We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at McMaster Children's Hospital. As a key player in our Diagnostic Services department, you will be responsible for the technical operation, coordination, and quality of service for Ultrasound.

As a teaching hospital, we collaborate with academic partners like McMaster University and Mohawk College to train the next generation of health professionals. Our Diagnostic Services team supports a high volume of adult and pediatric patients, offering services 24/7.
**Responsibilities**
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Coordinating and performing ultrasound examinations, including pediatric and high-risk obstetric cases
- Technical operation, coordination, and quality of service for Ultrasound
- Liaising with senior technologists and radiologists to ensure high-quality procedures
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A graduate degree from an accredited Ultrasonography program
- Certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS)
- Current membership in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) registration
- Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
**Compensation and Benefits**
This temporary full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $36,900 - $51,870 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development.
