Role and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and performing a variety of ultrasound examinations, including pediatric and high-risk obstetric cases. They will also be responsible for the technical operation, coordination, and quality of service for Ultrasound, ensuring that procedures are performed at a high level. The Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist will work closely with senior technologists and radiologists to ensure seamless communication and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications and RequirementsTo be considered for this role, applicants must have a graduate degree from an accredited training program in Ultrasonography, as well as current membership in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). They must also hold a professional designation of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS) and possess current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) registration. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as effective problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
