Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Hamilton Health Sciences. As a Registered Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing a variety of ultrasound examinations, including pediatric and high-risk obstetric procedures.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills, with the ability to operate complex ultrasound equipment and maintain high standards of patient care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will work closely with senior technologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and perform ultrasound examinations, including pediatric and high-risk obstetric procedures
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and safety
  • Collaborate with senior technologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Operate complex ultrasound equipment with precision and accuracy
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited training program in Ultrasonography
  • Current member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Professional designation of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) registration
  • Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment
  • Demonstrated effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Evidence of participation in ongoing education and professional development
  • Membership with the CAMRT/OAMRS is preferred
  • IPS certificate is preferred
  • Current registration with Sonography Canada preferred
Salary Range

$85,000 - $110,000 per year
