Banquet Manager Job Description

At JC's Grill House, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Manager to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of banquets and events, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of quality in all aspects of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Cost Control: Cost products and services, ensuring optimal profitability.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring timely restocking and minimizing waste.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for staff and guests.
  • Client Relations: Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Marketing: Participate in marketing plans and implementation, promoting our services and events.
  • Leadership: Lead and instruct individuals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful event execution.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Operations Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, ensuring seamless execution of events.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, working under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, organized, reliable, and a team player.
Working Conditions:
  • Language: English.
  • Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week.
