About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Jelly Bean Daycare Centre Inc. as a key member of our facilities maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the daycare centre, including hallways, floors, stairs, bathrooms, and fixtures.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, drywall repair, and minor appliance repairs.
  • Groundskeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the outdoor areas, including lawns, gardens, and walkways.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with contractors and other staff members to ensure that maintenance and repairs are completed efficiently.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: The Janitorial Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to bend, crouch, and kneel, as well as lift and move heavy objects.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
