Job Summary

Borgata Event Centre by Avani is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our facilities team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our event spaces and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all areas are free from litter and debris.
  • Specialized Cleaning: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, and wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Snow and Ice Removal: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to our facilities.
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular schedule of 30 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
