About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Jelly Bean Daycare Centre Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our children and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Mopping: Regularly sweep and mop hallways, floors, and stairs to ensure a clean and tidy environment.
  • Trash and Recycling: Empty trash cans and recycling bins, and ensure they are replaced with new liners.
  • Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment, and contact contractors for any necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens, and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
  • Bathroom Cleaning: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn new skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
