Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Stanford Seniors Village.

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Support Worker will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Meal Service: Serve meal trays and feed patients, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Mobility and Transfers: Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients, maintaining their safety and comfort.
  • Housekeeping: Make beds and maintain patients' rooms, promoting a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Medication Administration: Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas, following established protocols.
  • Transportation: Transport patients between care facilities, ensuring their safe and timely arrival.
  • Communication: Answer call signals to determine patients' needs, responding promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, and physically demanding work, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) of weight handling.
