About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Stanford Seniors Village. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Meal Service: Serve meal trays and feed patients as needed.
  • Mobility and Transfers: Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients with care and attention.
  • Housekeeping: Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to a high standard.
  • Medical Procedures: Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas as required.
  • Transportation: Transport patients between care facilities safely and efficiently.
  • Communication: Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond accordingly.

As a Healthcare Support Worker at Stanford Seniors Village, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent care and support to our residents. You will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to delivering high-quality care and services.

Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, and a team player.
