Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Executive Chef Assistant to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing food items, maintaining company standards, and adhering to safety and hygiene policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food products as directed by senior kitchen staff
  • Set up and maintain mise en place for high-volume production
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment according to health and safety policies
  • Receive and store stock, labeling and dating as required
  • May serve staff meals and take orders at the counter
  • Count inventory and attend monthly culinary meetings
  • Liaise with operational departments and develop strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health and safety regulations
Requirements
  • High School Diploma; Culinary education an asset
  • Minimum 6 months of culinary experience
  • Red Seal certification through ITA or current enrollment in the program an asset
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Ability to obtain a Gaming License
  • POS and cash handling experience (if necessary)
Work Environment

This is a regular kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, steam, noise, and odors. The successful candidate will be required to stand and walk for long periods, lift, carry, push, pull, stretch, and bend.
