Job Summary

Blackstone Industrial Services is seeking a skilled Millwright Specialist to join our team for a 2-3 month period. As a key member of our Field Services team, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or maintenance, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to meet the urgent needs of our business, including working overtime when required.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to determine work procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
  • Experience with equipment overhauls and maintenance.
  • Thorough knowledge of industrial equipment, including compressors, gearboxes, pumps, fans, and blowers.
  • Ability to fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
  • Strong Hoisting & Rigging skills, with proficiency in using laser alignment tools and measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals, with a strong understanding of troubleshooting and predictive maintenance procedures.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision, with a safety-conscious mindset.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility with time scheduling to meet customer needs, with the ability to work overtime when required.
Education and Certifications
  • Completion of a recognized Millwright apprenticeship program.
  • Successful completion of our pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license.
  • H2S, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and CSO safety tickets.
  • O/H Crane, Rigging Safety, Fork Lift, Zoom Boom, First Aid, and SCBA courses are not mandatory but are assets.
