**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Millwright Specialist to join our team at Blackstone Industrial Services for a 2-3 month project in Edmonton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing complex machinery and equipment, working 40 hours per week.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform routine maintenance on industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Disassemble and reassemble machinery for repairs, using technical manuals and blueprints as necessary.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including documentation of work performed and materials used.
  • Promote a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and other documentation to ensure accurate and efficient work.

**Qualifications:**

  • Experience with equipment overhauls and complex repairs.
  • Knowledge of compressors, gearboxes, pumps, fans, and blowers, as well as other industrial equipment.
  • Strong hoisting & rigging skills, with the ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely.
  • Proficient in aligning equipment and measuring tools, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot failures and identify root causes of equipment problems.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including welding and cutting equipment.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Valid driver's license and safety tickets, as required.

**Education and Certifications:**

  • Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, as required.
  • Required safety tickets and certifications, as specified by Blackstone Industrial Services.
