**Job Summary**

Odgers Berndtson is seeking a seasoned law enforcement executive to serve as the Chief of Police for the Greater Sudbury Police Service. As a key member of the Police Service Board, you will be responsible for leading a team of over 440 dedicated members in providing law enforcement services to the community.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive policing strategy to ensure the safety and well-being of the community
  • Lead a team of senior officers in managing law enforcement operations, including investigations, community policing, and emergency response
  • Collaborate with the Police Service Board, staff, volunteers, and community stakeholders to develop effective solutions to community issues
  • Ensure the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and accountability within the Service
  • Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to achieve Service goals and objectives

**Requirements**

  • Confirmed rank of Inspector or above in a law enforcement agency
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a policing environment
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic environment
