Odgers Berndtson is seeking a seasoned law enforcement executive to serve as the Chief of Police for the Greater Sudbury Police Service. As a key member of the Police Service Board, you will be responsible for leading a team of over 440 dedicated members in providing law enforcement services to the community.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive policing strategy that addresses the unique challenges of a growing northern community
  • Lead a team of senior officers in managing complex issues and key relationships within and outside the organization
  • Collaborate with the Police Service Board, staff, volunteers, and community stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of the Service
  • Ensure the highest standards of integrity, dedication, and professionalism across the Service
  • Develop a service delivery model that prioritizes community well-being and supports members of the Service with effective resourcing and development opportunities

**Requirements**

  • Confirmed rank of Inspector or above in a law enforcement agency
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in managing complex issues and key relationships
  • Strong strategic decision-making and modern policing management approach
  • Ability to inspire trust and confidence in the community and the Service
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of policing
