Technical Support Specialist

Our client is a renowned Canadian company with a diverse portfolio of specialty food products. With operations spanning Canada and the United States, they boast multiple manufacturing facilities across provinces and states.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and provide ongoing support for the Microsoft 365 tenant.
- Offer general IT support to users through a ticket system, including hardware, software, mobile devices, and business systems.
- Support MFA and VPN setup and troubleshooting for all users.
- Perform system administration tasks, including account management, system updates, networking updates, software and hardware troubleshooting.
- Manage backups and media rotation as required.
- Develop and maintain guidelines, procedures, and best practices for Microsoft 365 services and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Provide system update support using a patch management tool.
- Maintain thorough written documentation, including ticketing systems and internal processes.
- Assist with general IT support requests as needed.
- Ensure adherence to standards, policies, regulations, and confidentiality guidelines.
We are seeking an experienced professional with the following qualifications and skills:
- Five or more years of IT support experience in a complex environment supporting 75+ staff across multiple locations.
- Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server administration.
- Comfortable using Microsoft PowerShell for routine tasks.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, switch fabric, firewalls, and VPN.
We are looking for a skilled professional who possesses exceptional customer service skills, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, tenacious problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently and autonomously on diverse assignments.
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to work variable daytime hours, with some holiday coverage.
- Ability to travel to other locations in the Lower Mainland as needed (infrequently, via automobile).
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal); additional language skills are welcome.
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of up to $75,000 and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid vacation, extended health coverage, an onsite gym, product discounts, a discretionary bonus, and equipment.
