We are currently hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Assistant - Manufacturing Co-op student for our Manufacturing Engineering department. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering.

Job Summary

As the Manufacturing Engineering Assistant - Manufacturing Co-op, you will report directly to the Director - Switches & Operators & Assistant Manager - Assembly. You will utilize your knowledge, excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to assist in the Manufacturing Engineering Department.

Responsibilities

  • Work on plant layout updates and preparation of work instructions.
  • Assist in CAPEX projects with Project/Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Conduct process studies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work alongside designers and engineers to create and improve fixtures.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a registered post-secondary co-op program in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Available for a 4-month placement for the Winter 2025 Co-op Work Term.
  • Some CAD experience in Solid Edge, Solid Works, or AutoCAD.
  • Some experience working with machines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
