Caron Transportation Systems is a leader in safety and environmental responsibility, providing exceptional service in the industry. We are seeking a Safety Supervisor to join our team at our Head Office in Sherwood Park. This role works Monday to Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, and reports directly to the Safety Manager.

The Safety Supervisor will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving Caron Transportation Systems' safety and training programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and policies. This includes conducting new hire orientations, internal training, and leading the Emergency Response Team. The successful candidate will also oversee on-scene field-level emergency response, conduct route risk assessments, and manage the Samsara platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update safety training courses
  • Conduct safety orientations and training for new and existing employees
  • Manage the Emergency Response Team, including training and on-call duties
  • Conduct route risk assessments and new customer site assessments
  • Manage the Samsara platform and send non-compliance reports to Terminal Managers

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of directly related experience
  • Degree, diploma, and/or safety certification, preferably in transportation
  • Valid drivers' license, Class 1 is considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with others
