About the Role

Maven Transport Ltd is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of professionalism in customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
  • Arrange travel itineraries and make reservations as needed
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Pay and receive payments for goods
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in good working order
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
Requirements

Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a variable schedule, requiring 50-70 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and safety.
