Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Logistics: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations as required.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, performing preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs as needed.
  • Documentation: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, and maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and a Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: Have experience in long-haul truck driving, with a strong understanding of transportation and logistics.
  • Skills: Possess excellent oral communication skills, be organized, reliable, and a team player, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, with a large workload and overtime required. The ability to handle heavy loads, sit for extended periods, and work in a variety of weather conditions is essential.
