Your Opportunity:

As a Speech Pathologist, you will be part of a collaborative team, working with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical professional practice, independently and as part of a team, to prevent, promote, and manage communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Participate in the planning, coordination, and delivery of rehabilitation services, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Supervise students and provide clinical guidance to other staff as needed, utilizing leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development using clinical expertise.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification.
  • Recent adult inpatient acute care experience within Alberta.
  • Independence and proficiency in clinical and instrumental swallowing assessments, with the ability to manage challenging caseload demands in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with complex medical patient populations, including end-of-life care, chronic disease management, post-ICU care, and dementia.
  • Instrumental assessment (VFSS) competence.
