About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Officer to join our team at Jordan & Neil M Enterprises. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to making job offers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent, manage job postings, and coordinate interviews.
  • Candidate Management: Screen and evaluate candidate applications, conduct interviews, and make recommendations for hire.
  • Onboarding and Integration: Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Employee Experience: Foster a positive employee experience by providing excellent HR support, addressing employee concerns, and promoting a culture of inclusivity and diversity.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, and identify and mitigate potential risks associated with recruitment and hiring.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in human resources, recruitment, or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Setting: Various locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Experience in recruiting and supporting newcomers and refugees.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Knowledge of indigenous communities and experience in developing relationships with indigenous-owned businesses and organizations.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Experience in applying hiring policies that promote diversity and inclusion.
