Senior Maintenance Planner and Supervisor

We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our client's day-to-day operations in Belleville, Ontario. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a safe working environment and supervising Millwrights and third-party contractors.
About the Role
The Maintenance Supervisor will plan, budget, and execute small projects aimed at upgrading plant equipment. They will collaborate closely with fellow supervisors, Maintenance Planners, and the Reliability Engineer, reporting directly to the Senior Maintenance Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
* Schedule and supervise maintenance activities as planned by the Maintenance Planner to ensure equipment meets production needs.* Oversee maintenance crews and outside contractors to ensure timely, high-quality completion of work.* Assess employee skills and safety practices to identify training needs and maintain a skilled workforce.* Ensure adherence to plant rules, policies, and health & safety protocols during maintenance operations.* Manage urgent or breakdown repairs to minimize production downtime.* Develop and motivate your team to maintain a reliable, competent workforce and provide technical support for problem resolution.* Collaborate with the Maintenance Department on work schedules, equipment use, and prioritization of mechanical expenditures to meet plant goals.* Prepare estimates for materials and labor to develop project cost estimates and plant budgets.* Participate in the supervisory on-call rotation and be available for weekend and after-hours supervision of emergency repairs.* Contribute to the design and implementation of mechanical aspects of plant projects.
Requirements
* At least 5 years of mechanical repair and maintenance experience, preferably in a heavy industry setting.* Completed 433A industrial mechanic millwright license.* Familiarity with SAP or similar systems is an asset.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
