About the Role

This position reports directly to the Alumni Relations Associate Director, Programs and Services, who is responsible for generating revenue to fund 100% of SFU alumni relations programs and events.

The coordinator will play a key role in sustaining existing and building future alumni programs and services, and relationships, while assisting to increase SFU's annual revenues from $300,000 to $500,000 over the next three years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase alumni engagement and revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver alumni programs and services.
  • Monitor and analyze program metrics to inform future development and improvement.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to alumni and other stakeholders.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Arts, Business Administration, or Communications, and two years of related experience in areas such as working with Indigenous and multicultural groups, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Skilled in business development, contract evaluation, and negotiations.
  • Ability to develop internal and external relationships and work effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment exercising a high level of tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work with a variety of information and records systems.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
