Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Administration Lead to join our team at McIntosh Perry. As a key member of our Contract Administration Division, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of your projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Construction Inspectors to ensure compliance with contract documents, quality, and safety standards.
  • Review and understand relevant OPSS and contract special provisions to ensure accurate interpretation.
  • Inspect construction operations to verify quantities, prepare progress reports, and maintain documentation.
  • Review, interpret, and analyze the contractor's critical path schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Reconcile progress payments in a timely manner and maintain compliance with prompt payment requirements.
  • Proactively identify issues, recommend mitigation measures, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Promote and oversee compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare reporting, quantity measurements, claims, and payment certifications.
  • Liaise with contractors and clients to ensure effective communication and project delivery.

Requirements

  • University degree or College diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D an asset.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and travel to site locations within the area.

Experience

  • Registered as an EIT, if applicable, or P. Eng. with PEO or rcca with OACETT.
  • Completion of MTO T131 - Advanced Claims - Dispute Resolution course.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Contract Administrator, Resident Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, or Assistant supporting these roles on at least two previous projects.
  • 5+ years experience in structural, watermain, asphalt, and/or grade construction on road and/or bridge construction projects.
