PCL Construction is seeking a skilled Construction Technology Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Centre Block Rehabilitation project, you will play a vital role in driving innovation and efficiency in our construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate virtual models of construction sites, incorporating plans, specifications, and elevations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to design and implement construction site logistics models.
  • Coordinate trade partner model updates and report to the project management team as needed.
  • Support the creation and processing of RFIs, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Promote the adoption of virtual construction tools and processes among project staff.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and share knowledge with project teams to drive operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a buildings-industry related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), civil, architectural).
  • Relevant experience in a construction environment, with a focus on drafting and modeling.
  • Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of 3D modeling software and VDC tools.
  • Exposure to 4D scheduling software and planning tools is an asset.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines.
