Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Yield Operations and Optimization to join our team at Walmart Canada Corp. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategically managing ad pricing, inventory allocation, and demand forecasting to maximize revenue and profit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management and Optimization
    • Manage and allocate ad inventory efficiently to minimize unsold inventory and maximize revenue.
    • Monitor and manage product availability to ensure optimal revenue generation.
  • Demand Forecasting
    • Develop demand forecasts to guide inventory and pricing decisions.
    • Utilize historical data, audience insights, and market trends to forecast demand and adjust pricing and inventory strategies accordingly.
  • Yield Optimization
    • Develop and implement yield management strategies to maximize revenue and profit.
    • Continuously refine ad pricing strategies and adjust rates to optimize inventory and revenue.
  • Pricing Strategy
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and adjust pricing strategies.
    • Work with sales, operations, and product teams to align pricing and inventory strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Performance Reporting
    • Leverage campaign performance data to analyze and identify ways to maximize ad revenue.
    • Track and report on ad revenue performance, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and inventory management strategies.
  • Team Leadership
    • Mentor and coach the yield analysts to create a high-performance team.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of progressive media analytics experience in a digital advertising environment.
  • Excellent communicator, across multiple levels/functions with the ability to influence and drive action.
  • Ability to present complex topics to leadership.
  • Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record of partnering with Sales, Sales Ops, and Ad Ops to achieve yield optimization results.
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills, experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling.
  • Experience in developing monetization strategies, inventory optimization, and campaign management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
