Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Kelowna General Hospital. As a key member of our Psychiatry department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric assessment and treatment to patients up to 18 years of age, including those admitted through the Emergency Department.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patients and develop treatment plans.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of programs, policies, and procedures related to child and youth mental health.
  • Assume care for a portion of new child & youth psychiatric admissions and participate in the general on-call schedule.
  • Support family physicians, pediatricians, and child & youth mental health services in the community.
Requirements
  • Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License - Provisional
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Eligible

Benefits and Incentives
  • Competitive salary range: $250,000 - $400,000, plus MOCAP level 2
