Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Kelowna General Hospital. As a key member of our Psychiatry department, you will provide inpatient and outpatient child and youth mental health services within the hospital and the local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume care for a portion of new child & youth psychiatric admissions
  • Collaborate with clinicians and managers to develop and maintain appropriate programs, policies, and procedures
  • Support family physicians, pediatricians, and child & youth mental health services in the community
  • Participate in teaching opportunities with medical students and residents as KGH is affiliated with UBC Faculty of Medicine Southern Medical Program

Our state-of-the-art facilities include the Interior Heart & Surgical Centre, the Centennial Building, and the Dr. Walter Anderson Building.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary range of $250,000 - $400,000, plus MOCAP level 2
  • Relocation assistance of up to $15,000
  • Part-time opportunities may be eligible for a pro-rated reimbursement

This is an excellent opportunity for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our expanding Psychiatry department at Kelowna General Hospital. You will be part of a team of dedicated psychiatrists providing inpatient and outpatient child and youth mental health services within the hospital and the local community.

Requirements

  • MD or equivalent degree
  • Board certification in Psychiatry
  • Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry
