Excellent Opportunity for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our expanding Psychiatry department at Kelowna General Hospital. As a member of our team, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing inpatient and outpatient child and youth mental health services within the hospital and the local community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychiatric assessment and treatment of patients up to and including 18 years of age
  • Collaborate with clinicians and managers to develop and maintain appropriate programs, policies, and procedures
  • Assume care for a portion of new child & youth psychiatric admissions
  • Support family physicians, pediatricians, and child & youth mental health services in the community
Requirements:
  • Doctorate in Medicine
  • Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in Child and Youth psychiatry
