Overview


The University of British Columbia is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Program Administrator to support the newly created Area of Focused Practice (AFC) Thrombosis Fellowship Training Program.


About the Role


This is a one-year subspecialty training program for post-graduate medical trainees with certification in Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine. As the Program Administrator, you will be responsible for all administrative tasks related to the program, including coordinating the yearly applicant selection process, facilitating onboarding and credentialling of new fellows, and distributing monthly end-of-block evaluations.


Your Key Responsibilities



  • Coordinate the yearly applicant selection process, including handling application material, corresponding with applicants, and liaising with selection committee members
  • Facilitate onboarding and credentialling of new fellows, ensuring they have completed all relevant enrollment requirements and acquired hospital/EMR access at all training sites
  • Distribute monthly end-of-block evaluations to fellows and attendings via One45 software and maintain related records
  • Schedule and attend quarterly AFC Program Committee and Competency Committee meetings, maintain meeting minutes, and distribute them to relevant stakeholders
  • Perform other administrative duties as required by the Program Director

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A high school graduation, plus two years of post-secondary education, plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and make timely and accurate decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to an ever-changing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as comfort with learning new computer skills
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a post-graduate clinical training program
  • Understanding of Divisional, University, Hospital, and PARBC policies

What We Offer


The University of British Columbia offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
