Director of Structured Finance and Innovation

Join the National Bank team as a Director of Structured Finance and Innovation, where you will play a leading role in the strategic support of companies across Canada. As a trusted advisor, you will leverage your high-level professional knowledge and experience to achieve clients' business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on an optimal combination of specialized financing products.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Provide consulting services aligned with client needs, leveraging your expertise in complex trade credit, acquisition loans, and business products and services.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve clients' business objectives, including the analysis and establishment of financing structures for companies.
- Participate in the development of sector-specific funding strategies and guidelines in support of Group Heads.
- Support account managers and senior managers during the implementation of new financing files and at all stages of monitoring and renewal of a file.
- Identify financial risks to the Bank with respect to financing and make recommendations to reduce or eliminate them.
- Participate in negotiations with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders, including legal advisors, other financial institutions, and customers.
- Use credit risk and profitability assessment tools to ensure compliance with funding and risk management policies and standards.
You will be part of a large team of expert colleagues and report to the Director Credit Risk Underwriting. Our team stands out for its expertise in complex credit structuring and execution. We work in a hybrid mode, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.

- A completed bachelor's degree, related to the industry, and 7 years of relevant experience OR a completed Master's degree, related to the industry, and 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in complex trade credit, acquisition loans, and business products and services.
- Experience analyzing complex financial models and identifying financial risks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of capital market debt instruments and experience in syndicated financing are assets.
