About the Opportunity

At Nova Scotia Health Authority, we're seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our dynamic team. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you'll play a vital role in assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with heart and blood vessel conditions.

Responsibilities include performing Echo ultrasound examinations using state-of-the-art technology, working closely with physicians to assess patients and their conditions, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Requirements include a graduate degree from an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound, Sonography Canada certification, Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure, and current BLS certification.

We're looking for a motivated individual with a minimum of one year clinical experience, preferably in a tertiary care setting. Experience in Adult Congenital Heart Disease, TEE, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Exercise Stress Echo, and Research Echo is an asset.

Competencies in other languages are an asset, with French being preferred. We offer a competitive salary range of $34.24 - $39.96 hourly, with the possibility of a Market Adjustment. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
