About the Opportunity

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day operations of all designated MRI suites, including instruction of students and direction of staff while in the area. Your duties will include ensuring information of the patient requisitions meet departmental standards, correlating clinical history with examinations to be performed, and performing imaging procedures and patient care duties.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of MRI technology and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) MRI exam and certification, Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Previous MRI experience preferred
  • Demonstrate competency in I.V. insertion
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. Call and shift work is required, including evenings, nights, and weekends.

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will be eligible for a compensation package of $34.24 - $39.96 hourly, as well as health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
