Highly Skilled Nursing Professional Wanted for Long Term and Acute Care Facilities

We are currently seeking a highly professional Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to work in a variety of long term and acute care facilities in the Gloucester area.

This opportunity allows you to earn above-average wages with travel compensation and accommodation.

Shifts would be early morning, afternoon, evening, overnight with consistent hours and a set schedule until further notice.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
  • Nursing Care Delivery
    • Ensure a timely and accessible admission for the residents including a comprehensive orientation to the home and the services offered within the home.
    • Ensure that resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
  • Pharmacy Management
    • Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics.
    • Ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts.
  • Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs of the residents.

Requirements:

  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Able to work with persons with Infectious Diseases.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella (MMRV), proof of negative TB skin test within one year as well as Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work the flexible shift times, depending on the facility; eight or twelve hours in length.
  • Must be able to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
  • Must be reliable once availability is given to be placed at an agreed upon facility/unit.
  • Must be in compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.

Earn a Competitive Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year based on experience. Plus travel compensation and accommodation.
