Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description: We are seeking experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to join our team in providing nursing care to residents in our facilities. As an RPN with RhynoCare, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas
  • Ensure timely and accessible admission for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered
  • Ensure resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe
  • Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents

Requirements:

  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Able to work with persons with Infectious Diseases
  • BLS Certificate
  • Valid First Aid & CPR
  • Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), proof of negative TB skin test within one year as well as Hepatitis B
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to work flexible shift times, depending on facility, eight hours or twelve hours in length
  • Must be able to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need
  • Must be reliable to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit
  • Must be in compliance with RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy
