Job Title: Building Services Worker

Delco Building Maintenance (2007) Ltd is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Services Worker to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Building Services Worker to perform various maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairs, and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors and stairs
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Requirements
  • Completion of a Building Service Worker course
  • WHMIS Certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work under pressure and perform repetitive tasks
  • Physical ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, and reliability
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The work will be performed on-site at various locations, including apartment/condominium complexes and janitorial service companies.
