Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Delco Building Maintenance (2007) Ltd. As a Building Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, mop, and clean floors and hallways
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and initiative
  • Dependability and reliability

Working Conditions:

  • Work under pressure
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling

Language: English

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

Work Setting: Apartment/condominium complex, Janitorial service company

Certifications: Building service worker course, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

Security and Safety: Criminal record check
