Job Title: Building Services Worker

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Services Worker to join our team at Delco Building Maintenance (2007) Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to building maintenance, including cleaning, repairs, and maintenance of facilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as emptying trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Perform safety and security checks, and contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Work with minimal supervision and be able to work under pressure.
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs, such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Building service worker course and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
Working Conditions:
  • Work under pressure.
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Weight handling: up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
