Job Title: Building Services Worker

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Services Worker to join our team at Delco Building Maintenance (2007) Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs; empty trash cans and other waste containers; wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems; contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Security and Safety: Perform safety and security checks; work with minimal supervision.
  • Other Duties: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures; clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in cleaning and maintenance.
  • Certifications: Building service worker course and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Setting: Apartment/condominium complex and janitorial service company.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling; lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

  • Dependability: Reliable and punctual.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
