Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Inuksuk Infant Development Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the overall development of children
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Lead activities that foster creativity, social skills, and emotional intelligence in children
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records and reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish a positive and inclusive environment
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that meets licensing regulations
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, judgement, reliability, team player, and values and ethics
Experience
  • 5 years or more of experience in early childhood education
  • Permanent position with 40 hours per week
  • Language of work: English
