Job Summary

The Early Childhood Resources Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing culturally appropriate resources and materials to support early childhood development in Nunavut.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design resources, materials, and programs to meet the needs of children, parents, and childcare facility operators.
  • Collaborate with the Early Childhood Development unit, other departmental staff, and community members to gather input and ensure cultural sensitivity.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of resources and programs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support the development and delivery of training for licensed centre staff.
  • Administer contribution agreements and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Recognized degree in Arts, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • One year of experience working in a licensed centre.
  • Fluency in Inuktitut, English, or French, with an asset for knowledge of Inuit communities and culture.
